It had been raining all day, and I had numerous thoughts about canceling the photo session with Susan and her entourage: her husband Fred, and her magnificent airedale named Rex, aka Ding-Dong. Fortunately, the rain had moved on by the time we met, and everything was perfect. The sky was dramatic with clouds with peeking sun, and the location was gorgeous with manicured lawn and glassy waters. Most importantly, my subjects were, for lack of better words, awesome.
After receiving her transplant, Susan is able to do many things, one of which is strolling along the Willamette river in the John’s Landing neighborhood. Susan and her husband are working on training Rex to walk on loose leash. Personally, I would worry more about people wanting to meet and play with Rex along the way. Just look at him. Isn’t he beautiful? He was modeling a special Donate Life scarf just for the shoot. I love the last picture where he unintentionally enters the frame.
