by bitnaKaty is my seventh subject for Second Chances Project. She is currently in college, and as I was driving to meet her near University of Portland campus, I started to think about my own college days. It was an exciting time for me. Between learning to be responsible and indepedent, meeting new friends, and expanding my horizons, I was on cloud nine. I have no doubt this is how Katy feels. And she would not be in this stage of her life, had it not been for a donor pulmonary artery she received during her open heart surgery. Katy was only four years old.
Now Katy is a vivacious young lady, and I wanted to photograph her under a sunset. She looked as gorgeous as the golden hour.
