Silly commercials make me laugh.  There is this commercial where a patient wakes up, and the doctor  tells the patient that he was able to attach the foot, although the foot was not an exact match.  The doctor continues to “console” the patient by telling her that it’s” good enough.”  I love the expression of the doctor when he shrugs his shoulders and says “you know, it’s good enough.”  Well, guess what.  I photographed him yesterday!  Tim is an actor (he was on Leverage and few other commercials), musician and writer who volunteers for Donate Life Northwest.

Tim has been diagnosed with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis which is incurable, and rarely treatable.  He may one day need a lung transplant.  Tim told me that he is currently on immunosuppresants to manage his lung function.  Immnunosuppressants weaken the immune system, and people on such drug regiments must be extra cautious when it comes to germs.  I am a borderline germaphobe, and it is not easy having to constantly think about sanitation.  While Tim takes care of himself to stay healthy, he also told me that he wants to live his life.  And I think he is doing just that.  I pray that Tim remains in good health, and that scientists and doctors will soon find cure for his disease.  I would also like to see him play a villain in an episodes of Leverage, or a fairy tale character in highly anticipated show Grimm-coming this fall to NBC.

One Response to “Second Chances V”

  1. Linda Huston says:

I’ve known Tim for a very long time. He is just as kind and serene as he appears in these photos. A very talented actor, who can portray an understated, self-deprecating humor with ease. I, too, pray for long life and good health for him.
