by bitnaI have been a volunteer photographer for Donate Life Northwest for some time, and by far, Lifesavers Breakfast was the most difficult event to cover because I had to get up at 5am to get ready for it. People who know me well will tell you that I am not a morning person. Thankfully, Brent was attending the event as well, and he got my cranky butt there on time. Plus, my personal project with Donate Life was being presented, and who doesn’t want to see her work on two giant screens? Little did I know that I would be so touched by the keynote speakers Ana and Isa’s story. Ana and Isa’s appreciation for life, and their vibrant energy inspired everyone attending. The numerous high-oxygen-requiring activities the sisters are now able to do just put me to shame. Isa even picked up playing the bagpipe, which I assume makes her lungs even more powerful. She performed “Amazing Grace,” and amazing it was! The beautiful twin sisters’ incredible story “The Power of Two: A Twin Triumph over Cystic Fibrosis” is in print, and for those who are more visual like me, “The power of Two” the movie is screening at Hollywood Theatre tonight at 7:15pm.
