he has to have it before he falls asleep.  he looks for it every night before his bedtime.  some nights, he commands that i or brent go look for it.  it’s quite old and raggedy-lost an ear a long time ago.  many attempts have been made to throw it away, but it continues to prove itself irreplaceable.  it gets sanitized in the washer on hot/heavy wash setting.
